Ιορδάνης Σιδηρόπουλος - Deus ti Salvet Maria

Mass style: F Minor (Cover Version)
Arranged on 12 different voice layers + 4 violins by iordAnis Sidiropoulos (iordAnis)

"Deus ti Salvet Maria" is a devotional song belonging to the Sardinian tradition. The song is written in the Sardinian language by the poet Bonaventura Licheri in the 18th century
Sardinia is a jewel of Italy located West of the Italian peninsula, and East of the the Balearic Islands and it is for sure a place I feel like home as it shares a variety of similarities with Greece.

I learned "Deus ti salvet Maria" by Fabrizio de André (rock cover) but I was also left speechless by Maria Carta´s version. There is also a version by the extra ordinary and well recognized Greek singer Savina Yannatou.

chi chi ses de grazia piena
de grazia ses sa ivena

Pregade pregade lu a fizzu ostru

Meda meda grazia a nos done
